Two people were found dead near a wildfire in the Corinth region of Greece on September 30, 2024. The blaze, fueled by strong winds, broke out on September 29 near Xylokastro, forcing the evacuation of several nearby villages. Hundreds of firefighters, supported by nine aircraft, are working to control the fire, which is raging through rugged terrain about 120 km west of Athens.
