Israel has informed the US of its plan to launch a limited ground incursion into southern Lebanon, which could begin as early as Monday, according to US officials. Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed military preparations to strike Hezbollah by air, sea, and land. Hezbollah’s deputy leader, Naim Qassem, declared the group is ready for the offensive, following the assassination of its leader Hassan Nasrallah by Israeli forces. Lebanese officials reported over 1,000 deaths in the past two weeks, with up to 1 million people displaced due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes.
