An Israeli airstrike on a multistorey building in Beirut's Bashoura district killed nine people, including seven Hezbollah-linked health workers, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry. Fourteen others were injured in the Wednesday night attack, which also started a fire. Residents reported a sulfur-like smell, with Lebanon's National News Agency accusing Israel of using banned phosphorous bombs. The Hezbollah-aligned building housed the group’s Islamic Health Authority. This strike was part of 17 overnight air raids on Beirut as Israeli forces also engaged Hezbollah in southern Lebanon amid ongoing conflict with Hamas.
