Four spectators tragically died, and 96 others were hospitalised due to heatstroke during the Indian Air Force (IAF) airshow at Marina Beach, Chennai. The event, part of the IAF’s 92nd anniversary celebrations, took place between the Lighthouse and Chennai Port. Among the dignitaries present were Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin, and Chennai Mayor R Priya. The airshow showcased 72 aircraft, including Rafale, SU-30, MIGs, Jaguars, and Tejas, drawing a massive crowd to the iconic beach.
