The CBI has presented a charge sheet with compelling evidence against Sanjay Roy, the main accused in the rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College. Roy's DNA matched with samples found on the victim, including saliva on the body and bloodstains on his clothes. CCTV footage showed Roy entering the hospital and the scene of the crime. Mobile tower locations confirmed his presence between 3:30 and 4:00 AM on August 9. The forensic team and a multi-institutional medical board concluded the victim died from asphyxia and was sexually assaulted before her death.
