Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has condemned the auction of a 19th-century horned Naga skull in the UK as "dehumanising" and an act of "colonial violence." The skull, valued between £3,500 and £4,500, was listed for auction by The Swan at Tetsworth. Following public outrage, the item was removed from the auction's online listing. Rio has urged External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to intervene, emphasizing the emotional significance of human remains for the Naga community. The Naga people are also seeking the repatriation of ancestral remains from the Pitt Rivers Museum in England.
