The UK is set to experience a brief summer revival, with temperatures reaching up to 22C (71.6F) this week, particularly in London, East Anglia, and the Home Counties, according to the Met Office. Following a cool weekend, milder conditions are expected to take hold by midweek, with many regions seeing a temperature increase of about 10C. Forecaster Tom Morgan noted that London could exceed 20C, especially in eastern areas. However, this warm spell will be short-lived, with wet and windy weather anticipated by next weekend, particularly in the North West and parts of Wales.
