Lebanon’s health ministry reported that 21 people were killed, and eight others injured in an Israeli air strike on the Christian village of Aitou, far from Hezbollah-stronghold areas. The strike destroyed a residential building where displaced families from southern Lebanon had recently moved. Residents claimed there was no warning before the blast. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to "strike Hezbollah without mercy" following Hezbollah’s deadly attack on Israeli soldiers near Binyamina. Over the past month, Lebanon's health ministry has reported nearly 1,700 deaths from Israeli strikes. The Israeli military has not commented on the attack.
