The UN reported that most victims of an Israeli air strike on a building in northern Lebanon were women and children. The attack on Aitou killed 22 people, including 12 women and two children, according to UN spokesperson Jeremy Laurence. The building was a four-story residential structure. The UN raised concerns about potential violations of international humanitarian law and called for an investigation. Additionally, the UN refugee agency said over 25% of Lebanon is under evacuation orders, with people fleeing from their homes with very few belongings.
