Security forces in Jammu's Kishtwar district found the bodies of two missing Village Defence Guards (VDGs), Nazir Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar, after a massive search operation. The two men had gone missing while grazing cattle in the Munzla Dhar forest. The terror group Kashmir Tigers, linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, claimed responsibility for the killings, citing their involvement in VDGs as the reason. The bodies were recovered after hours of cautious trekking due to possible terrorist traps. Jammu’s Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack and called for quick action to prevent such incidents in the future.
