11 people were injured when a Lufthansa flight from Buenos Aires to Frankfurt hit severe turbulence over the Atlantic. The Boeing 747-8, carrying 329 passengers and 19 crew, encountered brief but intense turbulence in an intertropical convergence zone. Five passengers and six crew members sustained mostly minor injuries, confirmed a Lufthansa spokesperson. After landing safely in Frankfurt, the injured received medical care. Lufthansa reassured that the flight’s safety was not at risk during the incident. This turbulence follows a similar event in May, where severe turbulence affected a Singapore Airlines flight, injuring 30 passengers.
