At least 14 people, including a newlywed couple, died when a bus carrying a wedding party plunged into the Indus River in northern Pakistan. The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Gilgit-Baltistan, after the driver lost control, reportedly due to overspeeding. The bus fell from the Telchi bridge in Diamer district. One passenger survived with injuries, but the missing passengers are presumed dead due to the river's strong current and freezing temperature. Rescue workers recovered 13 bodies, and the search for the missing continues. Pakistan's president expressed condolences for the victims.
