Ukraine has received the bodies of 502 fallen soldiers from Russia, according to Kyiv's Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. The majority of the bodies, 397, were recovered from the heavily contested Donetsk region. Smaller numbers were repatriated from the Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as Russian morgues. Ukraine’s government expressed gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their assistance in the process. The bodies will undergo forensic examination to identify the deceased. Russia has not publicly acknowledged the return of its soldiers' bodies. The exchange continues amid high casualties on both sides.
