After the marathon 17-day operation that evacuated all 41 workers from the collapsed Silkyara tunnel, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the monumental rescue effort on Tuesday night. He announced a relief of Rs 1 lakh for each labourer pulled out alive after being trapped since November 12. Dhami informed that the rescued will remain under medical care at Chinyalisaur Hospital to stabilize them from the harsh conditions endured inside. "No one is in critical condition," he confirmed. Dhami disclosed the team first brought out shorter workers followed by taller ones. He also Applauds the efforts of rat-hole miners who overcame obstacles to drill an accessible passage to the trapped men.
