The National Conference claimed senior leader Omar Abdullah has been put under house arrest ahead of the Supreme Court's verdict on Article 370. NC spokesperson Sarah Hayat Shah shared pictures of Abdullah's locked residence gate on social media. This comes after the PDP said its chief Mehbooba Mufti was also put under house arrest. However, J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha dismissed the claims as "baseless". Meanwhile, police did not allow journalists to gather near the Gupkar residence of NC president Farooq Abdullah and vice-president Omar Abdullah. A posse of police personnel was deployed at the Gupkar Road entry to prevent access to the NC leaders' home.
