More than 22.79 lakh students will appear for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination on Sunday. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has put strict security measures in place after the controversy surrounding the earlier test. Over 13.8 lakh CCTV cameras, biometric checks, AI-based surveillance and signal jammers will be used at exam centres. Authorities have also increased cyber monitoring to stop fake paper leak claims online. “Strict action will be taken against those spreading false information,” officials said. Special arrangements, including drinking water and medical support, have also been made for candidates and parents across the country. (PC: PTI)
