“Non-Traditional Security Challenges” In Focus As Ajit Doval to Lead BRICS Security Meet In Delhi

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval will lead a two-day BRICS security meeting in New Delhi from Monday. Senior security officials from BRICS nations, including China and Russia, are expected to attend. The talks will focus on terrorism, the West Asia crisis, the Russia-Ukraine conflict and other global security issues. Delegates will also discuss emerging threats and cyber security challenges. The Ministry of External Affairs said the meeting will address “non-traditional security challenges confronting the world today.” The conclave is an important step before the BRICS Summit in September, where leaders will discuss key political, economic and security matters.
