Oscar Pistorius, the South African Paralympic athlete convicted of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013, was released on parole on Friday after serving over half of his 13-year sentence. Pistorius claimed he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder when he shot her through a bathroom door in his home.
