A 30-year-old man was killed after allegedly detonating a crude explosive inside a moving car on National Highway 48 in Karnataka's Tumakuru district during an apparent attempt to die with his former partner. Police said he had allegedly abducted and stabbed the 23-year-old woman after she refused to reconcile. The woman managed to jump out of the vehicle moments before the explosion, sustaining injuries but surviving. The man died in the blast as the car burst into flames. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact sequence of events and the source of the explosive.
