The Delhi High Court on Tuesday proposed allowing activist Sonam Wangchuk to be shifted from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital, following a plea by his wife, Gitanjali Angmo. A bench led by Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyaya said Safdarjung Hospital would share all medical records with Medanta, where a panel of doctors would oversee Wangchuk’s treatment. The court said it would issue the final order later in the day. Wangchuk has been on an indefinite hunger strike demanding action over alleged examination irregularities. His wife welcomed the proposed order, calling it a significant relief for the family. (PC: HT)
