The parents of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke said they are worried about their son following the police action against protesters but will not ask him to end the agitation. Speaking to Hindustan Times, his father, Bhagwan Dipke, criticised the Centre's handling of the demonstrations, describing the police response as heavy-handed and alleging authorities provoked violence. His mother, Anita Dipke, questioned why peaceful student protesters were treated like terrorists and said watching videos of the crackdown left her deeply distressed. Delhi Police, however, maintained protesters turned violent, attacked personnel, damaged public property and injured more than 118 police personnel during the unrest. (PC: The Week)
