Nathan Thomas has become the world's youngest male professor after joining Miami Dade College as an engineering instructor at the age of 18 years and 346 days. His achievement, recognised by Guinness World Records, breaks a record held for 306 years by Scottish mathematician Colin Maclaurin, who became a professor at 19 in 1717. Thomas began college at 10 through a dual-enrolment programme, later earning bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering.
