Spanning 21.8 kilometers, it connects Sewri in Mumbai to the Nhava Sheva area in Raigad district, reducing travel time from two hours to 15-20 minutes. The bridge, named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, incorporates cutting-edge technologies, ensuring minimal impact on the aquatic environment. However, motorbikes, auto rickshaws, tractors, and certain vehicles are restricted. PM Modi's visit includes unveiling projects worth ₹30,500 crore in Maharashtra.
