Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a historic moment today by inaugurating the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, costing ₹17,840 crore. Spanning 21.8 kilometers, it connects Sewri in Mumbai to the Nhava Sheva area in Raigad district, reducing travel time from two hours to 15-20 minutes. The bridge, named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, incorporates cutting-edge technologies, ensuring minimal impact on the aquatic environment. However, motorbikes, auto rickshaws, tractors, and certain vehicles are restricted. PM Modi's visit includes unveiling projects worth ₹30,500 crore in Maharashtra.
