A five-storey boys’ PG building collapsed in Delhi’s Satya Niketan on Sunday afternoon, with around 40-50 students feared trapped under the rubble, according to preliminary police information. Rescue teams from the NDRF, Delhi Fire Services, Delhi Police, DDMA, MCD, CATS and Civil Defence were deployed at the site. Six to seven students have been rescued and taken to hospitals, while three admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre are in critical condition. Police received a PCR call about the collapse at around 1:34 pm. Locals said construction work was underway in the basement. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the situation was being monitored.
