Union Minister S. Jaishankar and his wife, along with former Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi, CBI Director Praveen Sood and other prominent officials, have received notices during Delhi’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Their records were flagged mainly because they could not be linked with the previous 2002 voter rolls or contained discrepancies in names and family details. Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and former Supreme Court judge Ranjana Desai are also among those receiving notices. The Delhi Chief Electoral Officer clarified that receiving a notice does not mean voter eligibility has been cancelled or names will automatically be deleted. (PC: India Today)
