Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leader Vijay Reddy on Tuesday gave Delhi Police 24 hours to respond to the party’s demand to restore Jantar Mantar as a designated protest site. He warned of fresh demonstrations and a nationwide mobilisation if the demand was not met. Reddy said the party had submitted a formal letter at Parliament Street Police Station, seeking permission for peaceful protests, including under the 10-day advance notice rule. Meanwhile, CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained again while attempting to enter Jantar Mantar. Ranka had posted a video showing the group entering the restricted site. (PC: X)
