Delhi Police has secured the removal of 100 social media accounts for allegedly sharing inflammatory posts, fake news and misleading videos during protests against the Election Commission’s voter roll revision exercise. The action comes amid continued demonstrations demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. More than 200 protesters were detained in Delhi during the second day of Cockroach Janta Party protests. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hosted INDIA bloc leaders, civil society members and student groups at his residence to discuss the movement.
