All India Students’ Association (AISA) president Neha Bora told the Delhi High Court on Thursday that she was not involved in the Cockroach Janata Party’s (CJP) separate protest call at Central Park on October 16. Senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, representing Bora, described her detention as “completely illegal”. He alleged that protesters were taken away in buses, denied access to lawyers and transported to the RK Puram police station at night. The court was hearing Bora’s plea challenging a Delhi Police notice directing her to furnish a personal bond of ₹10,000 and one surety to maintain peace during the inquiry. The notice followed her detention during a flag march. (PC: X)
