Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee has alleged that BJP supporters attacked his Kolkata residence around 2 am on November 7. Sharing videos on social media, he claimed the incident followed two days of surveillance and described it as the seventh attempt on his life in six months. He criticised Kolkata Police for failing to prevent the alleged attack and accused the judiciary of remaining silent despite repeated threats. The BJP rejected his allegations, while police intervened following clashes between TMC and BJP supporters. The incident has intensified political tensions in West Bengal. (PC: File)
