Former YouTube parenting vlogger Ruby Franke, who gained millions of followers, was sentenced to 60 years in prison for child abuse. The mother of six, along with her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt, faced charges related to psychological manipulation, food deprivation, and isolation of her nine and 11-year-old children. Prosecutors described the children's living conditions as "concentration camp-like." Franke, tearfully apologizing in court, claimed she was disoriented, believing in a distorted reality. Both Franke and Hildebrandt received four consecutive terms of one to 15 years. The arrests followed an incident involving Franke's undernourished 12-year-old son in August 2023.
