Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah extended Ganesh Chaturthi greetings on social media platform X as the 10-day Hindu festival commenced on Monday. In separate posts, Modi shared photos of Ganpati puja, wishing for prosperity and good fortune. He wrote "Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all countrymen" and greeted his "family members" in another post. Shah also wished the public a "holy festival", praying to Lord Ganesha. The festival marks the birth of the deity Ganesh, known as the remover of obstacles. It will be celebrated from September 19 to September 28.
