A Latam Boeing 787-9 from Sydney to Auckland experienced a sudden mid-air drop, injuring 50 passengers and causing "strong movement" on board due to a technical issue. Some were thrown into the roof as the plane lost altitude. Ten, including seven passengers and three crew, were hospitalized seriously. The LA800 flight landed safely in Auckland. Latam acknowledged the technical event but didn't specify the issue. The incident is under investigation.
