Early Tuesday, a container ship collision caused the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore to collapse, sending vehicles and possibly 20 people into the Patapsco River. Maryland Governor Wes Moore declared a state of emergency. The bridge, opened in 1977, spans the river and Baltimore harbor. Video footage captured the sudden collapse after the ship struck a pillar. Rescue efforts are underway, hindered by unstable bridge debris. The Singapore-flagged ship Dali, leased by Maersk, diverted from its course shortly before the collision. So far, two individuals have been rescued from the icy waters. [Video Courtesy: @IndependentTV]
