Deepak Sharma, an All India Football Federation (AIFF) executive committee member, was arrested by Goa Police for allegedly assaulting two female football players from Khad FC. Sharma, also the owner of the club, reportedly attacked the players in their room on March 28. He faces charges including causing hurt and using force against women. Sandesh Chodankar, deputy superintendent of police, confirmed the arrest, stating Sharma will be presented in court on March 31. The Goa Football Association (GFA) aided the victims in filing the complaint.
