In a targeted raid linked to a local blast investigation, a National Investigation Agency (NIA) team was assaulted in East Medinipur district, West Bengal. The attack, occurring in Bhupitaninagar, left an officer injured and a vehicle damaged. Despite prior notification to local authorities, inadequate security measures were reportedly in place. The NIA filed a complaint against Manabendra Jana and others, aiming to apprehend Jana in connection with the Bhupatinagar blast from December 2022, which claimed three lives at a Trinamool Congress leader's residence in Naryabila village.
