Pakistan's inclusion comes amid rising violence, with 1,524 fatalities and 1,463 injuries from 789 terror incidents in 2023. The provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan witnessed the highest violence, while sectarian attacks claimed 203 lives. This marks the third consecutive year of escalating violence in Pakistan.
