Pashtuns, Sindhis Join PoK Activists To Rally Against Pak in Geneva, Cite 'Human Rights Violations'

Activists from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) held massive protests against Pakistan during the 54th UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva. PoK political activists raised slogans demanding Pakistan vacate Kashmir and allow them to live peacefully. The demonstration organized by United Kashmir People's National Party saw participation from Pashtun, Sindhi, Baloch activists and those from Bangladesh. Together they condemned extremism and terrorism in the region. Protesters carried banners accusing Pakistan of human rights violations in PoK and Gilgit Baltistan. The regions have seen growing outrage against Pakistan over rights violations, misuse of laws and issues like inflation, poverty and unemployment. The Geneva protests highlighted PoK residents' discontent with Pakistani rule.
