A Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore encountered severe turbulence, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. The Boeing 777-300ER, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew, made an emergency landing in Bangkok at 3:45 PM local time. Passenger Dzafran Azmir described the sudden drop from 37,000 feet to 31,000 feet, causing unbelted passengers to hit the ceiling and overhead compartments. Aviation expert Andrew Charlton noted that turbulence-related fatalities are extremely rare. The airline is providing assistance to the affected passengers and cooperating with Thai authorities for medical support.
