The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo is worsening rapidly, with more than 1,000 suspected cases and at least 246 deaths reported. Medical charity MSF described the situation as "deeply alarming" and warned that the outbreak is spreading faster than expected.   Neighbouring Uganda has confirmed nine cases and one death. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus visited the affected Ituri province to support response efforts.   Health workers are increasing testing and awareness campaigns. The Delhi High Court has ruled against Google in a trademark dispute involving sanitaryware brand Hindware. The court said Google cannot allow rival companies to use the trademarked keyword "Hindware" in its advertising platform.   The case was filed by HSIL Limited, the parent company of Hindware. The company argued that competitors were using its trademark to attract customers searching for Hindware products.   The court rejected Google's claim that it was only an intermediary. It said Google plays an active role by selling keywords and earning revenue from ads.   The ruling could affect online advertising practices across several industries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised mango farmers during his monthly Mann Ki Baat programme. He said mango cultivation and the farmers involved are "very special for the agricultural economy of the country."   Modi highlighted India's famous mango varieties, including Alphonso, Kesar, Dussehri and Langra. He noted that Indian mangoes are reaching global markets, with exports going to countries such as the UAE, the US, Kuwait and Qatar.   The Prime Minister also spoke about the ongoing heatwave and advised people to stay hydrated. The death toll in the South Delhi building collapse has risen to five as rescue teams continue search operations. The five-storey building in Saidulajab collapsed on Saturday evening. It housed coaching centres, cafes and offices.   Several people were rescued, while others were taken to hospital. Authorities fear more people may be trapped under the debris.   The rescue operation has been underway for more than 18 hours. Teams from the NDRF, Delhi Police and other agencies are using heavy equipment and sniffer dogs.   Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta ordered an inquiry. Two MCD engineers have also been suspended over alleged lapses.

Violence broke out across France after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won the UEFA Champions League. Authorities said 780 people were arrested and 219 were injured during clashes between fans and police.   French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez said, "We allow freedom of assembly, but not excesses." He added that security forces would be firm in dealing with troublemakers.   Police reported that 57 officers were injured. An Indian student in Canada has denied knowing that his friend was allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. During a deportation hearing, Jashandeep Singh said, "I didn't know if I held the gun, they would connect me with extortion."   Canadian authorities want to deport him over alleged links to organised crime. Jashandeep said he believed the gun shown by his friend, Arshdeep Singh, was not connected to any criminal activity.   Police later linked the weapon to shooting incidents in Canada. Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said no agreement with the United States would be accepted until Iran's rights are secured. He accused Washington of trying to pressure and divide Iran.   Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said a "very good deal" with Iran is close and claimed Tehran has agreed not to develop nuclear weapons.   The conflict also spread to Lebanon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered troops to move deeper into southern Lebanon and capture strategic positions. Israeli strikes and ground operations continued, while Lebanon reported injuries near a hospital.   Diplomatic efforts are ongoing, but tensions remain high across the region.

US F-15 fighter jet that crashed in southwest Iran in April may have been shot down by a Chinese-made shoulder-fired missile, according to a new report. US officials are investigating the incident, which could be the first time in decades that a US fighter jet was downed by enemy fire.   The two crew members safely ejected before the crash. One was rescued within hours, while the other was found after hiding in the mountains for nearly two days.   The report also claims China may have provided Iran with military equipment. Google has asked US regulators for permission to release up to 32 million specially treated mosquitoes in parts of California and Florida. The project aims to reduce the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.   The mosquitoes are designed to interfere with breeding and lower the number of insects that can carry harmful diseases. The releases would take place over two years in selected areas.   Before the project begins, federal authorities will review safety and environmental data. If approved, Google will monitor the results and study the impact on public health. The findings could help shape future mosquito control efforts in the United States.

The investigation into the alleged attack on Abhishek Banerjee in West Bengal’s Sonarpur has taken a dramatic turn after police found links between several arrested suspects and former Trinamool Congress MLA Lovely Maitra. Banerjee was allegedly targeted with stones and eggs while visiting families affected by post-election violence, sustaining minor injuries. Police have arrested at least five accused and are examining possible political connections behind the incident. The Trinamool Congress has blamed BJP supporters for the attack, while opposition leaders claim growing public anger against the party. The case has intensified political tensions across West Bengal.
