Cheistha Kochar, a 33-year-old PhD student at the London School of Economics, tragically lost her life in a traffic accident last week. The incident occurred when she was cycling back to her apartment in London. Formerly associated with NITI Aayog, Kochar was pursuing her doctorate in Behavioural Science. Described as bright and brave by former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, Kochar's untimely demise has left many grieving. Her father, retired Lieutenant General Dr SP Kochhar, mourns the loss of his daughter. The accident has sparked condolences from colleagues and friends worldwide, as Kochar is remembered for her vibrant spirit and dedication to her studies.

The Indian External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, conveyed condolences to Russia's Sergey Lavrov over the terrorist attack at Moscow's Crocus City Hall, which claimed 133 lives. Indian High Commission in London hosted a vibrant Holi celebration yesterday, welcoming Indian Student Community with colorful festivities and sweet treats. On Monday, March 25, the High Commission will be closed in honor of Holi. Earlier on 20th March, a Holi reception featured diplomatic corps, MPs, Lords, and business figures was hosted by the high commission. The event showcased India's rich culture through Bhangra performances and premium products like Pashmina Shawls and Ayurveda items. The festive atmosphere highlighted the significance of Holi, spreading joy and cultural exchange among attendees. Services at the High Commission will resume after the holiday closure.

India summoned a German diplomat today to protest comments on the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal in a Delhi liquor policy case.
