Janata Dal (U) leader K.C. Tyagi asserted that the INDIA bloc extended an offer to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the Prime Ministerial position. Despite this, the JDU reaffirmed its commitment to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Tyagi emphasized ongoing discussions with senior BJP leaders about ministerial roles, affirming that decisions will be made at Prime Minister Modi's discretion. The INDIA bloc, however, denied any such proposal. Congress leader K.C. Venugopal refuted having knowledge of the offer, underscoring the bloc's focus on other strategies post-Lok Sabha elections.
