As Narendra Modi takes oath for a third term, some key ministers from his previous cabinet have been dropped. Anurag Thakur and Smriti Irani are among those not included. Thakur, who won the Hamirpur seat, and Irani, who lost her Amethi seat, were not at the PM’s residence for the pre-swearing-in tea. Rajeev Chandrashekhar and Parshottam Rupala are also missing from the new list. Despite controversies and defeats, these leaders secured significant votes but did not make it into Modi’s 3.0 cabinet. The new ministers will be sworn in at 7:15 PM by President Droupadi Murmu.
