The BJP has appointed Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Bhupender Yadav as central observers for selecting the new Chief Minister of Odisha. This was announced by Arun Singh, the BJP National General Secretary. Both ministers were sworn in at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 9. According to BJP spokesperson Dillip Mohanty, the swearing-in ceremony for Odisha’s new Chief Minister will be held on June 12, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance. The BJP’s Parliamentary Board made this decision to oversee the election of the party's legislative leader in Odisha.
