The Delhi Police has added IPC Section 201, for disappearing evidence and giving false information, against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar in the assault case involving AAP MP Swati Maliwal. Kumar allegedly assaulted Maliwal at Kejriwal's official residence on May 13. Section 201 entails imprisonment of one-sixth of the punishment for the primary offense. An FIR was filed on May 16 under various IPC sections, including criminal intimidation, assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to disrobe, and attempt to commit culpable homicide. Maliwal, the former Delhi Commission for Women chief, accused Kumar of slapping and kicking her during her visit to meet Kejriwal.
