Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have moved their voter thank-you event from Amethi to Raebareli, citing the intense heat as the reason for the change. The event, initially planned for Amethi, will now be held at the Bhuemau Guest House in Raebareli on Tuesday. Rahul Gandhi recently won the Rae Bareli constituency by defeating Uttar Pradesh minister Dinesh Pratap Singh in the Lok Sabha elections, while Congress' Kishori Lal Sharma secured the Amethi seat from Union minister Smriti Irani. Both Gandhis, along with the newly elected Amethi MP Sharma, will attend the program, confirmed Pradeep Singhal, the Congress' Amethi district unit chief.
