Former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna has been sent to Bengaluru Central Prison for 14 days by a special court in connection with the first of three sexual assault cases against him. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) brought him to court on Monday but didn't request more custody. The SIT may later seek his custody for the second case, as Revanna seeks anticipatory bail for the other two cases. He was previously in police custody after returning from Germany. Additionally, Revanna’s mother, Bhavani Revanna, was granted bail by the Karnataka High Court in a related kidnapping case and has been questioned by investigators.
