The BJP has chosen Mohan Charan Majhi, a four-time MLA from Keonjhar, as Odisha's new Chief Minister. Majhi, the party's tribal face, will be joined by deputies KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida. This decision follows the induction of senior state leaders Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram into the Union government. The oath ceremony, attended by PM Modi and former CM Naveen Patnaik, will be held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on June 12. Majhi’s appointment marks the BJP's first formation of government in Odisha after 24 years of BJD rule.
