Gautam Gambhir is reportedly the frontrunner to replace Rahul Dravid as India's head coach after the 2024 T20 World Cup. According to Navbharat Times, Gambhir has outlined five conditions for accepting the role, including full control over cricket operations, the right to select his support staff, and the authority to drop senior players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Shami if they underperform in the 2025 Champions Trophy. Gambhir also seeks separate Test and ODI teams and an early roadmap for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Gambhir remains cautious about his potential future in the role.
