Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been remanded to judicial custody until July 12 by a Delhi court in connection with a money laundering case tied to the alleged liquor policy scam. The court accepted the CBI's plea for Kejriwal’s 14-day incarceration, citing non-cooperation during interrogation. The CBI alleges that Kejriwal provided evasive answers about the enhancement of profit margins for liquor wholesalers under Delhi's 2021-22 excise policy and his associate’s meetings with industry stakeholders. Kejriwal will appear via video conferencing for the next hearing at Rouse Avenue Court.
