BCCI secretary Jay Shah revealed that two names have been shortlisted for India's new head coach. Gautam Gambhir and WV Raman are among the candidates. Rahul Dravid's tenure ended after India's T20 World Cup win. The new coach will start during the Sri Lanka series later this month. VVS Laxman will lead the team for the Zimbabwe series. Shah stated, "Both coach and selector appointment will be made shortly." Gambhir is a strong contender due to his successful IPL stint with Kolkata Knight Riders.
